Kristen makes and teaches art in a broad range of media. She’s a licensed Art educator and masters of Art education candidate at St. Michael’s college. As a teaching artist, Kristen splits her time between her home studio and the classroom. She teaches at Burlington City Arts and Davis Studio, and is also a teaching artist for the Vermont Arts Council, and a VAC grant recipient.

Kristen’s work focuses on mixed media painting, artist books, printmaking, and small scale assemblage. She exhibits her work locally and regionally in both group and solo shows, and has been selected for several juried exhibits. Her work is also held in private collections. She has completed artist residencies at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, and the Rensing Center in South Carolina. Location: meet at 916 Sheburne Road then head Downtown Burlington & Waterfront
Instructor: Kristen Watson

Join us for a one day guided photo shoot! We'll travel to natural and urban areas so you can further develop your photography skills and techniques with the support of a professional instructor. This is the perfect class to refamiliarize yourself with your camera, troubleshoot compositions, lighting, and camera features. You'll have dedicated shooting time with other aspiring photographers in a cooperative and friendly learning environment. Film or digital SLR cameras are required.

Participants must have completed an introductory class or camp using their camera in the last two years or feel reasonably comfortable shooting with manual, aperture, and shutter priority modes.
